I’ve finished lifting all the carpets. There’s still a bit of laminate that we are replacing that I need to remove, but that’s all the old flooring out. Next step is get the electrician in - the only services that we’re changing up. After that it’s just decoration.

📚 Books

I didn’t get a chance to read much this week. I was out a lot of the time with birthday meals and client entertainment. I did get to start ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’. I’m about ¼ of the way through and it’s still entirely setting up characters, but going into enough depth that it’s interesting. I’m hoping there’s the payoff that when this gets into the story proper these really creates a bond with the characters.
